Born on February 7, 1950 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Fitzpatrick) Veach.
A graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School, Jerry worked at Rostone Corporation for 32 years. He had a strong work ethic, beginning at age 9 when he started working as a caddy at the Lafayette Country Club where many memories were made that he loved to share.
On February 12, 1988, in First Christian Church, he was married to Cindy Stodgell. The couple renewed their vows on November 16, 2002 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Jerry was a member of the St Boniface Catholic Parish. Golf was his passion. Jerry was very proud of the two hole-in-one's he recorded at the Edwood Glen Country Club. He loved his family dearly, especially being "Pa/Papaw" to his babies.
Surviving with his wife are three daughters; six grandchildren; and many extended family members.
Private services will be held. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery, Lafayette.
