He is the son of Edna May Haynes Neice and Isaac Neice.

He is the brother to Sgt. Eugene "Gene" Neice, SSgt Donald Lee Neice, and his twin sister Rosemary Kay Neice Leonard.

He married Delores Ann Arnold on 24 Dec 1955 and divorced on 21 May 1970 in Terre Haute, Vigo, IN. Together they had five children: Theresa Ann Neice Brown, Richard James "R.J." Neice, Jr., Douglas Wayne Neice, Russell Lee Neice, and Michael Anthony "Tony" Neice.

Dick then married Jamie Lou Montgomery on 5 Sep 1970 in Terre Haute, Vigo, IN and divorced a few years later. Together they had a son, Anthony Edward Neice.

His 3rd wife was Rita Concepta "Connie" Burns Neice. Together they had a daughter, Robyn Kathleen Neice.

Richard James Neice Sr., 69, passed away April 4, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born June 20, 1937, to Issac and Edna Haynes Neice.

He worked as an industrial engineer for J.I. Case Company until his retirement. He was an active member of Junior Achievement for 11 years, a bicycle enthusiast, and also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his former wife and life partner, Connie Neice, whose relationship spanned more than 36 years, and their daughter Robyn Neice. He also leaves his children, Theresa Brown and her husband Jack, Richard (R.J.) Neice Jr. and his wife Diane, Douglas, Russell and Tony Neice; and their mother, former spouse Delores Arnold Hudson. Presiding as minister will be his grandson, James Neice. Active pallbearers include grandsons Justin Brown, Jon, Ryan, Paul, Jason, Richard III and Matthew Neice. He is survived by grandchildren, Brooke Sitarski, Anderson Neice and special buddy, Damon Neice. Others surviving him are a brother, Eugene Neice; step-grandchildren, Donny and Michael Nichols; special aunt, Mabel Haynes; uncle, Bill Catterson; 12 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Anthony Edward Neice; brother, Donald Neice; and twin sister, Rosemary Leonard.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and until services Tuesday. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. If desired, donations may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, P.O. Box 6001 Alberta Lea, MN 56007-6601.
