Western New Yorker, December 10, 1914:
Mrs. Salome Kress, wife of James Armour, died at her home on North Street in Warsaw Monday evening, December 8th, aged 66 years. She was born in Clarence, N.Y., November 24, 1848, the daughter of Henry and Christine Castle Kress, and married James Armour of Orangeville, October 4, 1864. Mr. and Mrs. Armour lived in Orangeville the first half of their married life, and have made their home in Warsaw for the last 25 years. In the fall of 1914 they celebrated their Golden wedding. Besides her husband, Mrs. Armour is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. George Stone and Mrs. James Hoy of Warsaw, and Mrs. Leon Head of Attica, a son, Henry Armour of Warsaw, a brother, Henry Kress who lives in Buffalo, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services were held at her late home this afternoon at 2:00, Rev. George D. Miller officiating, and burial was in Warsaw cemetery.
