My great-great-grandmother. She was a housewife all of her adult life. Born in Roxbury, then a separate city from Boston, her parents were both immigrants to America. Her exact date of birth is unknown. She married Bernard F. Dolan, himself an immigrant from County Roscommon, in 1884. Together, they would have fourteen children, of whom nine survived into adulthood. Of these children, the last to pass away was my great-grandmother, who died in 1993, at the age of 88. Ellen herself passed away on February 2, 1943, at the age of 82.
