Born November 6, 1938 in Berrien County, Mr. Barnes was the son of the late Johnny B. Barnes and Clara Bryant Barnes.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jay C. Barnes and Milton Lewis Barnes; and one sister, Patricia Diane Barnes.
Before retiring, he worked as a storekeeper and was a volunteer with the Enigma Fire Department and a member of Barnes Chapel in Enigma.
Mr. Barnes is survived by one brother, Larky Henry Barnes of Fitzgerald; three sisters, Betty Francis Barfield of Sandersville and Alice Barnes Jernigan and Clara Mae Purvis, both of Enigma; and many nieces and nephews.
