Funeral services were held Tuesday Sept 20, 10 a.m. at the Shafter Seventh Day Adventist church for Sarah Johnson, age 90, of Shafter who passed away Sept. 18. Elder Ronald Kegley of the Shafter Seventh Day Adventist church in Shafter officiated and interment followed at the Shafter Memorial Park.
Sarah Johnson was born March 13, 1893 at Marion, SD. On Dec 23, 1915 in N. Dakota she was wed to Jacob Johnson. In 1923 they moved to Shafter where she has made her home since. She was a member of the Shafter Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Dorcas Society.
Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law Clarence and Jewell Johnson of Bakersfield, Daughter Leona Willett of Sacramento, Son-in-law and daughter James & Mabel Dice of Merced, Son-in-law and daughter Ray & Wilma Rowles of Bakersfield. Son-in-law and daugthter Bill & Lou Emma Lewis of Garden Grove, 1 brother Theodore Voth of Shafter 1 sister, Lydia Johnson of Loma Linda and 8 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren.
