Charles S. Gaddie, 57, of 707 N. Monroe, Peoria Heights, a supermarket produce manager for 20 years, died at his home yesterday.
He had worked for the Kroger Co. and Jewel and Del Farm Stores.
A resident of the Peoria Heights address for 11 years, he was born at Williamsville April 13, 1917, a son of Charles S. Sr. and Mamie Hogan Gaddie and married Edna Swindle in Peoria April 1, 1956.
Surviving are his wife; his stepmother, Mrs. Agnes Gaddie of Clinton; one son Richard L. of Fort Riley, Kan.; one brother, Wallace B. of Peoria Heights; one sister; Mrs. Barbara A. Otte of Bloomington; and one half sister, Mrs. Helen Thompson of Pekin.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
