Virginia Eloise Workman Maddox
February 29, 1944 - February 16, 2018

February 16, 2018, Virginia Eloise Workman Maddox, of Blue Ridge, Virginia, entered heaven and was greeted by her parents, Alton and Runa Workman, her son, James Maddox and her brothers and sisters Jessie Workman, Lucille H Rose, Ina Gill, Leon Workman, Elsie Casto, Hysel Workman, and Earsel Workman.

Surviving is her husband, Richard L. Maddox Sr. and her children, who she loved and was very proud of, Dwayne Maddox and spouse Patty, Richard Maddox Jr. and spouse Kim, Michael Maddox and wife Kristi, April Parker and spouse Chris, Grandchildren Haley Maddox, Ashley Maddox, Cody Main and spouse Preston, Hunter Marshall, Peyton Maddox, Parker Maddox, Kara Maddox, Taylor Maddox, Mikayla Parker, Ananiya Parker, Jeremiah Parker and great grandson Jabe Main, As well as her two sisters, Jean Key and Juditha (Judy) Dunn.

In addition to being a great cook, Virginia enjoyed working in the yard and always looked forward to decorating at Christmas time. For the past 10 years she has been battling dementia and fibromyalgia but always had a smile when someone came to visit.

To celebrate her life, the family will receive friends on February 19th from 6:00-8:00pm at Oakey’s East Chapel and her going home celebration will be on February 20th at 11:00am at Parkway Wesleyan Church followed by a grave side service at Old Dominion Memorial Garden.
