EASTOVER - Services for Rev. Lorenzo Dow Davis Sr., 80, will be held today at 11 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, SC Chapter, or to Eastover Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Rev. Davis died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999. Born in Neeses, he was a son of the late Willie Henry Davis and Lizzie Hutto Davis . He served as pastor for Pentecostal Holiness Churches in Eastover, Lugoff and Kingsburg and also served at Midway Methodist Church. He served in the Civil Conservation Corp. and retired from Dupont, Camden. He was a member of Eastover Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Margie Stanton Davis ; sons, Lorenzo D. Davis Jr. of Springfield, La., Phillip Davis , Jerry Mark Davis , William Ballard Davis , all of Eastover; daughter, Donna Davis Brazell of Eastover; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, John Larry Davis .
