Marian Albert of East Stroudsburg passed away peacefully in her sleep at Pleasant Valley Manor early Wednesday, February 7 while under Hospice Care. She was 93. She was the wife of the late Roland Albert who died in 1987.

Born and raised in East Stroudsburg, Marian graduated from East Stroudsburg Area High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church. Marian worked at Ronson for 27 years and then as a cashier in East Stroudsburg High School cafeteria for 10 years where she was fondly referred to as Mamie.

Besides her husband, Marian was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Sophia Tweedie, as well as, her three brothers Milton, Robert, Edward and three sisters Eldora Smith, Nina Stiff, and Helen Zaccaro.

She is survived by two daughters: Barbara and Jay Huffman of Marshalls Creek and Joan and Robert Decker of Mt. Dora, FL. Additionally, she leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Jeffrey and wife Binney Huffman, Michelle Krajewski, Lori and husband Chris Bowers, Deborah Huffman and husband Richard Schlameuss, also, Stacy Decker, Chris and wife Monica Decker, Lauren and husband Jon Jalbert. She was the proud, great-grandmother of 18: Tate, Binney, Walter, Poppy, Kyle, Madi, Devin, Ella, Ethan, Owen, Noah, Rese, Will, Hank, Jadyn, Logan, Hailee, and Abby. Finally, she is survived by her beloved niece Elizabeth Zaccaro and numerous nieces and nephews. Marian was very involved in the lives of her family and was surrounded by love.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 10 at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg with visitation from 12 until the time of Mass at 1:00PM.
