Sandra Ann Carbaugh was born to Don and Betty Carbaugh. She grew up in Nederland TX. She has 3 siblings, Ronnie, Donnie and Jane Carbaugh.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell McFarland. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Goodwin and a son Jay Goodwin. Jay and his wife Stephanie have a daughter, Victoria, Sandi's only grandchild.

I met Sandi in August 1980 at the new Tuesday Morning store in Humble TX. She was the manager. I was a clerk. Our friendship was constant over the years. She was so smart and could figure out solutions to about anything. Take computers. She was self-taught and taught many of us the ins and outs of using one. She was creative and arty and fun to know.

She introduced me to genealogy and Find A Grave. Sandi has added 13,973 memorials to this site. She has posted over 20,000 photos. When she became interested in something she took it on fully and with exceptional tenacity stuck with it until she had it down perfectly. She was passionate about Find A Grave.

Her talents were many, photographer, seamstress, computer wiz, crafter.

When it came to fashion she had a sense of style all her own, a sort of gypsy soul.

She was a spiritual person with a love for God and her country.

She loved her family and friends. My life is richer for knowing her. She was a friend like no other.
