Leroy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950 and served in the United States Navy from October 9, 1951 until his honorable discharge on October 8, 1959. After his discharge he worked in the oil fields in Oklahoma for two years before return to Lincoln to the family dairy farm. On December 24, 1964 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Ebeling.
Leroy loved his 350 tractor and dairy farming. However the most enjoyable time was that spent with his family. He was a hard working man and will be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy on August 27, 2002, two sisters, Virginia Mitchell and Loraine Gibson, a brother Willard Anderson and infant twin brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Earl Anderson, of Lincoln and Leslie Anderson, of Lincoln, one daughter Brenda Dowdy, and her husband Stuart of Otterville, Missouri and a granddaughter Autumn Dowdy, of Otterville.
Funeral Services for Leroy Anderson will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral and graveside services and military rites will follow the funeral at the Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lincoln Cemetery Veterans Memorial c/o the Davis-Miller Funeral Home 119 W. Main Street Lincoln, Missouri 65338.
