Roy Luna, former Putnam County Agriculture Extension Agent, passed peacefully on Saturday February 10, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Luna, a World War II Veteran, had just celebrated his 95the birthday with his family and friends at Heritage Point Assisted Living where he lived at the time of his death.

Mr. Luna was born in the Old Zion Community of White County to the late Wiley and Annie (England) Luna on January 19the, 1923. Married to the late Mary Hill Cope of the Big Springs community of White County, he leaves behind two daughters Gretchen Luna Gleaves (Bob) of Cookeville, Gwen Luna Rife (Lou) of Nashville and one son Rogers Luna (Cindy) of Cookeville. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Brandon Rife (Sara), Ashley Clayton (Cody) of Nashville and Ava Luna of Cookeville, along with four great grandchildren.
