Richard Elmer Withers, 85, a resident here since 1945, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rumsey Funeral Home in Lawrence. Burial will be in the Eudora Cemetery.
Mr. Withers died Wednesday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 20, 1887, in Carrlton, Mo. He was a member of the Church of Christ here.
Survivors include the widow, Mary Charlotte, of the home; two sons, George of Baldwin and Donald of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Katie Bradley, Dallas, Tex.; three daughters, Pauline Schmitz and Barbara Evans, both of Lawrence, and Pearl Church, Eudora; two step-sons,
Joseph Frey, Kansas City, Mo., George Frey, Ottawa; 32 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
