Their son, George Newton Allen, and daughter, Marie Allen Hendon, are buried in Garden of Memories. Nora died in Houston Co, TX and is buried beside her second husband, John Argo Bowers, who she married 14 April 1967 in Anderson Co, TX.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Allen Bowers, 80, of 300 N. Durrett, Crockett, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Grapeland, the Rev. Robbie Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart under the direction of Hassell and Foster.
Mrs. Bowers died Sunday in Houston County Hospital of Crockett.
She was born in Anderson County in 1898. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Argo Bowers of Crockett, two son, George Allen of Latexo and Willie Allen Jr. of Tyler, 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
