From The Mirror & Farmer, Oct. 24, 1874 - " James Burnham, an old resident of Windham, dropped dead in his chair on Saturday. About two weeks previous, he was injured by fall from his carriage, and it is probable that both his fall on that occasion and his subsequent sudden death were caused by heart disease. He was for many years a woolen manufacturer at Windham, and was widely known. His age was about fifty-five years."
