Bob was born to Thearon and Marie Crosby. He graduated from Valley High School and later served a mission in Holland. he loved the Dutch people and language.

Bob settled in Alton Utah after several years of working throughout the western United States. Here he was blessed with a large, loving family. He married Karen Cox, his wife of nearly 50 years in Glendale Utah which was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Bob helped raise his six children with patience, discipline and humility. He taught them to serve and the value of hard work. Bob took his family on yearly camping trips where they learned the strength of family and the joy of the outdoors. He welcomed a myriad of nieces and nephews into his home and all have fond memories of the summers spent in Alton. This tradition passed to his grandchildren who spent hours hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and looking for rocks with Grandpa. All hold special memories of their time spent with him.

Bob worked in the timber industry for 38 years and gave his heart to Kaibab industries. After retiring, he worked another 10 years at the small rest stop between Alton and Glendale. Here he made friends from all over the country whether they were regulars or just driving through. Bob loved to visit and will be missed by many. We celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Heavenly Father and reunited with family there.

Bob is survived by his six children, Eva, Gwen, Wendy, Billy, Charlie and Kenneth; sisters Karen, Eva and Marva, 20 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen; his parents; siblings Valene, Larson, Leslie and Della and his grandsons Clayte Robert Durfey, Cort Michael Durfey and Brody Todd Crosby.
