Born to William Thearon & Marie Crosby. He carried many titles in his course of life, friend, cowboy, hunter,fisherman, soldier, Veteran, teacher, coach, poet, artist, stake and foreign missionary but no title meant more to him than those by which he was known among his family. Dad, Grandpa, son, brother and uncle.

Drafted into the U.S. Army for service in the Korean Conflict right after graduating high school he took his call of duty seriously. He excelled in all his infantry skills and was selected for further training in the chemical corps. After completing military service he put his training to use in Henderson, NV. There the handsome young Veteran met a beautiful school teacher at at church social. Larson and Patsy Terry were married in 1957.

Admiring Patsy's passion for teaching, Larson decided to pursue a degree in Physical Education at Utah State University. His first teaching assignment was in Mineral County NV. He began a 34 year career in education teaching in Hawthorn, Lund & McGill NV.

After losing his first wife to cancer, Larson found love again through correspondence. His sister Valene and her friend convinced their friend Mignon Adams to write to the young widower. Mignon and Larson were married in 1975 and spent 39 years together.

Larson returned home to Kanab and continued his teaching career at Kanab High and Middle School. He had many hobbies, including carpentry, watercolors and his love and gift for poetry.

Preceded by his wives, Patsy and Mignon, parents, brother Les; sisters Valene and Della, grandson Joseph Keith and great grandson Seth. He is survived by his children Brad, Lisa, Thearon, Shawna, Diana, Maria, Adam and Andi; his brother Bob; sisters Marva, Karen and Eva; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services held in Kanab on July 23 with burial by his wife Mignon in the Alton Cemetery.
