After receiving his education as an engineer, he worked as an inspector of aviation Rolls-Royce engines in California.
Returning to Florida, he became a resident of Miami where he became involved in government as Certified Review Appraiser, Supervisor, Tax Collector for Dade County.
Edwin was an esteem member of Toastmasters International serving as Judge at speech contests finals convention. He enjoyed working on cars with life long-time friend, Jose Beceiro.
After retiring he moved to Longwood, FL. Where he took up his love of gardening and teaching the 55 Alive Drive Safety program. He is survived by his daughter Laura Davenport, as well as nieces and nephews in Wisconsin and Florida.
Edwin's most outstanding characteristic was his love of God, family, community and his sense of humor.
