Roma Ault, 86, passed away on January 28, 2018, at Altoona Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Newton, Iowa on May 17, 1931, to Bernard and Mabel Cooper.

Roma enjoyed traveling, camping, gambling and quilting. Above all else, she treasured the time spent with her family. She owned and operated R & R Café in Mitchellville with her husband. Roma retired from Farm Bureau after many years of faithful service. She volunteered at hospice and in retirement worked at a Collectamania for over 20 years. She was a past member of Pochahontas Lodge, American Business Women and Des Moines General Hospital Guild.

Roma is survived by her children, David (Sue) Ault, Marton Ault, Jim (Mary) Ault, Laura Ault, Raymond (Kay) Ault and Jerry (Lorrie) Ault; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Roma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray; parents, Gilbert and Mabel (Butler) Cooper and brother, Lee Cooper.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Mitchellville United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery.
