Batesburg - Mrs. Arthur Boatwright, 34, of Batesburg, Route 2, died in the Baptist Hospital at 11:55 p.m. Thursday after eight weeks of serious illness. Mrs. Boatwright was born in Saluda County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Jones and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors, besides her husband, include one son, Kenneth, and one daughter, Joan Boatwright, both of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Mekay [McKay]of Monetta, and Mrs. Ruby Anderson of Clearwater. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday from Mt. Ebal Baptist Church by the Rev. R. L. Edwards. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
