.Mrs. Mildred Haddock Jackson, 87, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11 AM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverends Roger Haithcock and Doug Webber. Burial will take place Saturday at 3:30pm in Evergreen Memorial Estates, Grifton.

Mrs. Jackson, a native of Pitt County, was daughter of the late Lyman Clayton and Cassie Sawyer Haddock. She attended Winterville High School and Baker’s Business School in Greenville. While working for J. C. Green Company she became a licensed insurance adjuster, which she did for a number of years. She also kept the books for Jackson Upholstery in Greenville for many years. She was a member of Rose Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church

In addition to her parents Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvis Jackson, a grandson, Glen Nobles and brothers, Ronald and Wilton Haddock.

She is survived by sons, Clyde H. Jackson and Jerry W. Dudley and wife, Robbie, all of Greenville; and David E. Jackson of Winterville, and grandchildren, Scott Jackson, Ray Morris and wife, Janice, and Joel Morris; great granddaughter, Makayla Morris;
sister, Alice J. Chudnoff of Winterville; brothers, Phillip Haddock, Marlon Haddock, both of Winterville, and Graham Haddock of Elizabeth, IN.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and at other times will gather at the home of her sister, June Chudnoff.
