HEDY NOLAN, daughter of Johann and Anna Erhart Lipp, was born June 27, 1932, in Munich, Germany and departed this life March 16, 2013, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty years. After coming to America, Hedy made a profession of faith in Christ and united with Antioch Baptist Church, where she attended for many years. She then transferred her membership to First Baptist Church and remained of the Baptist faith until her passing. Hedy was a wonderful homemaker and cook. Feeding her children and grandchildren was one of her greatest gifts and they knew when going to her house, they would never leave hungry. Although tending to her home and family was most important to her, Hedy also worked outside the home. She worked for the H.D. Lee Company for over thirty years. More recently, she was a greeter at Wal-Mart, where she worked for eight years. Hedy was very independent and took great pride in her work. In her free time, Hedy most enjoyed tending to her yard, and her gardens, both vegetable and flower. She spent long hours manicuring them, and her hard work paid off. She was rewarded with Yard of the Month in our community, more then once. Hedy adored animals and always held a special place in her heart and home for them. She especially loved her two cats, George and Corky. She was an avid reader and enjoyed novels of all sorts. However, the time spent and memories made with her family were most important to her. She leaves to celebrate her memory, one son, Richard Peterson and his wife Janet of Lebanon, MO; three daughters, Karen Wolken and her husband Rick of Lebanon, MO, Kathy Peters and her husband Tim of Battlefield, MO, and Donna Allen and her husband Cecil, also of Lebanon, MO; ten grandchildren, Amy Peterson, David Peterson and his wife April, Jon Headley, Heather Witt and her husband Kiel, Chad Wolken and his wife Lindsey, Zack, Aaron, and Malissa Peters, Casey Allen and his wife Tabitha, and Adrienn Allen; three great-grandchildren, Kaden and Addi Witt and Avah Wolken; other relatives and many friends. Hedy was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patty Headley; one son in infancy, Michael John; two brothers, Hans and Richard; and one sister, Ann Benson. Hedy was the type person you could meet once and remember forever. She had an unmatched zest for life and personality. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her, will miss the laughter, but cherish the memories. She will be greatly missed.
