ADAMS, THOMAS McNEAL, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007. He was a longtime resident of Springfield, MO, before moving to Louisville two years ago. Mr. Adams was born on January 2, 1924 to Margaret and Herman Adams. He was a World War II veteran; worked in the insurance business for 40 years and retired from Hawkeye Insurance Co.; was a member of St. Aloysius Church; and was a member and Grand Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 409 in Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Adams and his mother, Margaret Adams; a brother, John and sister-in-law Leora. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Adams, of Louisville, KY; a brother, Richard Adams of Belleville, IL; eight children, Michael Adams (Diane) of Seattle, WA; Patrick Adams (Sandra) of Kansas City, MO; Kathleen Welter (David) of Louisville, KY; Timothy Adams of Menasha, WI; Margaret LeBlanc (Clark) of Prentiss, MS; Mary Calvillo (Roberto) of Kansas City, MO; Shawn Adams (Joyce) of Springfield, MO; and Dorothy Savell (Majure) of Covington, LA; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2007 at St. Aloysius Church (Pewee Valley, KY). A private burial in Cave Hill Cemetery will occur at a later date. Visitation will be held at Pearson Funeral Home,149 Breckenridge Ln. from 2 -4 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2007. Memorial gifts may be made to the Elks Lodge; Springfield, MO No. 409, 2223 E Bennett St., Springfield MO 65804-1730
