Richard "Dick" Walsh Adams, 89, of Belleville, Ill. born Monday, February 22, 1926, in Hibbing, Minn. died Monday, August 17, 2015, at his residence in Belleville, Ill. Dick worked as a Vice-President of Engineering for Sverdrup Corp. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Architectural Engineering in 1953. He served in the United States Navy, and was a World War II Veteran, participating in the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France on June 6, 1944. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Belleville Ill.; the Knights of Columbus; and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Margaret, nee Walsh, Adams; a daughter, Brenda Adams; a son, Jeffrey Adams; and two brothers, Thomas Adams and Jack Adams.Surviving are his wife, Natalie, nee Rogger, Adams of Belleville, Ill.; his children, Kevin (Michelle) Adams of Indepence, Mo., Mark (Diane Jordan Osborn) Adams of Glen Carbon, Ill., Claudia (Brad) Papenberg of Waterloo, Ill., Christiann Adams of Belleville, Ill.; his grandchildren, Greggory (Kristen) Adams, Kelsey (Christopher Eastridge) Adams, Caralyn Papenberg, Kelly Papenberg; and his great-grandchildren, AnaJulia Adams, and Natalie Adams.
