Andrew Keirs, 76, of 1510 Loveland Ave., formerly of Kincaid, died at 4:40 p.m. April 13, 1953, at St. John's hospital where he entered Saturday.

Mr. Keirs, a retired miner, was born in Scotland, came to the United States in 1883 and resided in Kincaid until 1938 when he moved to Springfield. He resided in Springfield until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Emma; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Rukes, of Terre Haute, Ind.; Mrs. Elizabeth Stuphin, of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Gertrude Beitel, of Kincaid; Mrs. Wilma Schuster, of Springfield; and stepdaughter, Mrs. Marie Smith, of Springfield; two brothers, John and William, both of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Devlin, of Hope, N.D.; Miss Margaret Keirs, of Springfield; Mrs. Anna Lee, of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Bisch Memorial Home.

Burial was in Virden cemetery.
