Al Daniel Horton, age 84, of Tazewell County, VA passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA.
He was born in Tazewell County, VA and was the son of the late Emory and Macy Osborne Horton. He was a lifelong resident of the Richlands area and was a retired coal truck driver. He was loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Allen Horton; sister, Shirley Ann Coe; and brothers, Earl Horton and Mackie Horton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with Rev. Eddie Hess and Rev. Marcus Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Chambers Family Cemetery at Shortt Gap, VA at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
