He died at 11 p.m. Saturday at Hardin County Memorial Hospital after an illness.
A native of Merryville, La., he had lived in Kirbyville 50 years and was a pipeline operating engineer and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three sisters, Pauline Jordan and Melba Jones, both of Kirbyville, and Jeanette Ware of San Augustine; and two brothers, John Havens of Beaumont and Louis Havens of Silsbee.
