Ila Kate Pack, 92, formerly of 40 East Main St.. passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman, SC. Ila was born in Inman, S.C. on May 30, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Pinkney Thomas and Rosa Martin Pack. She was a longtime member of Inman Mills Baptist Church and was a retired office clerk at Mayfair Mills. She volunteered at Camp Care and Camphaven Nursing homes as a singer in the choir for the Wednesday morning prayer services. She was also an avid bowler.
Survivors include two special nieces: Kathryn "Kitty" Respess of Pantego, N.C. Tanya Brice of Columbia, SC, a special nephew, Tommy Pack of Campobello, SC and her brother-in-law Judd Musgrove of Columbia, SC. Ila was the last survivor of her immediate family. She was predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Brownlow, Buford and J. L. Pack and four sisters, Eunice Wofford, Tenett "Peanut" Acton, Myrtle Wilson and Bertha Musgrove.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 2:50 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jack Hames officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC. The family will be at Tommy and Sarah Pack's home, . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Inman Mills Baptist Church Family Life Center Building Fund, 22 "B" St., Inman, SC 2 9349.
