A memorial mass will be held at 11:00AM Friday, January 5, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Elaine was born March 11, 1926 in Clinton, the daughter of Oscar and Josephine (Willihnganz) Krebs. She was educated at St. Boniface Elementary and Lyons High School.
Elaine married George Dawson in Clinton on June 20, 1945; he died March 14, 2003.
Elaine was an owner of the Golden Horse Tavern for many years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, David Dawson of Clinton; Robert (Beverly) Dawson of Pennsville, NJ; G. Phillip (Sandra) Dawson of Albany, IL and Nancy (Mike) Stillings of Camanche, IA; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great great-granddaughters.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Dawson, three sisters, three brothers and her parents.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
