Herman B. Nowels
Former resident of this city and late of Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, Herman B. Nowels, 52, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday in General Hospital, Indianapolis following an illness of pneumonia. Welder for a building construction company, Mr. Nowels had been in Indianapolis the last four years having gone there from Fort Wayne where he lived for several years.
He was born October 28, 1913, at Ligionier to Dennis B. and Millie O. Altimus Nowels. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in this city.
Surviving are a son, Denny N. Nowels, of California; the father , Dennis B. Nowels, this city; three sisters, Ms. Ed (Gladys) Soloway, Mrs. Earnest (Zelma) Greider and Mrs. Lee (Marie) Burchett, all of this city, and three brothers, Herbert and Glenn, both of Huntington, and Wallace of Fort Wayne.
Friends may call after ? p.m. today in the Balry Mortuary where funeral services will be at 22 p.m. Thursday with Rev. George L. Florence officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
