Ret. Sgt. Bennie Eacret, Jr., 86 of 201 Gordon Street, Salemburg, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, December 28, at Salemburg Baptist Church, 301 N. Main Street, Salemburg, with Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Born November 12, 1931 in Stigler, OK, he was the son of the late Bennie Clifford and Jesse Boen Eacret. He was an Army Veteran and served two tours in the Korean Conflict and two tours in the Vietnam War. He worked as a Security Officer on Fort Bragg.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Holland Eacret; sons, Terry Eacret of Raleigh, Larry Eacret and wife Jennifer of Cary, Gordon Eacret of Taos, NM, Mitchell Eacret of Paragould, AK; daughter, Sherry Williams of Lake City, IN; step-daughter, Brenda Harrison and husband Michael of Corpus Christi, TX; step-son, Keith Jones and wife Mary Anne of Algonquin, IL; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; sister, Linda Stoll and husband Robert of Moore, OK; and brothers, Jimmy Eacret and wife Cindy of Okmulgee, OK, Hershel Eacret and wife Helen of Spiro, OK.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45pm Thursday prior to the service, and other times at the home.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
