Obituary for Saranell Hunt
Funeral Services for Saranell Hunt, 98, of Monroe, are at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Grand, Monroe, LA. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Hunt was born November 7, 1919, in Jonesville, LA, and passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. She served in the Navy from 1944 until 1946. She was a longtime resident of Monroe where she met and married her husband, Ellis in 1947. She was employed by Durret’s Furniture, People’s Homestead and Montgomery Ward as a bookkeeper. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe.

Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Virgil Hunt; parents, Roger Price and Bernice Wilkinson; two brothers, Roger Wilkinson and Douglas Wilkinson; and one sister, Rosemary Crawford.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Earl and husband Arthur; three sons, Jim Hunt and wife Wynell, Richard Hunt and wife Kathy, and Ronnie Hunt and wife Barbara Caldwell; granddaughters, Angie Rover and husband Rick, Amy Allen and husband Benny, Donna Vonfeldt, Sarah Hunt, Veronica Lowry and husband Taylor, and Lori Ann Hunt; grandsons, Bob Hunt and wife Linda, Scotty Hunt and wife Cathy, Greg Hunt and wife Kim, Jason Hunt and wife Jennifer, and Ellis Hunt and wife Megan; great grandchildren, Jackson, Morgan, Andrew, Maddie, Anna, Sophia, Cooper, Ivy, Parker, Caden, Landon, Christopher, Amelia, Meri Ellis, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Andrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Ellis Hunt, Bill Hunt, Greg Hunt, Walt Caldwell, and Taylor Lowry.

The Family would like to thank all the staff, nurses, and caregivers at Avalon. Your loving care you gave to our Mother will never be forgotten.
