August 18, 1941 - December 6, 2017 Muriel Clayton Short, 76, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Lexington.
He was born in Richmond, Ky., on August 18, 1941, the son of the late Felix and Dovie Hurt Short. He was a graduate of Madison High School and a member of the Victory Tabernacle Church of God. Muriel was a retired employee of the City of Richmond.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Holland Short; one son, Patrick Short; a daughter, Claudia Blackburn (William); one brother, Carl Short (Mary); his mother-in-law, Jeanette Burns Holland; two grandchildren, Pamela Rose Blackburn and Magnolia Raegan Blackburn.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 AM Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Fort and Bro. Tim Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Vance, Doug House, Cory Short, Derrick Ward, Carl Edwin Short and Chris House.
Honorary Pallbearers will be William Blackburn, Robert Drake, Frank Chaney and Gene Smith.
