Margaret was a 1975 graduate of Harbor Creek High School and attended Penn State Behrend. She worked in the IT Department at Hammermill Paper Co. and most recently worked as a Production Control Specialist at Erie Insurance for 27 years. She attended South Harborcreek United Methodist Church. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Kenneth McGarvey; two daughters, Carrie Rodgers and her wife, Kathy Rice, of Pittsburgh and Emily Rodgers of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, and a seventh grandchild on the way; one stepdaughter, Kimberly McGarvey of Wattsburg; one stepson, Brian McGarvey and his wife, Courtney, of Harborcreek; three brothers, Eric Beringer of Schaumberg, Ill., Gary Beringer of Harborcreek, and Dean Beringer of Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews.
