Shannon
—Charles K. Shannon died at his home in Holton Friday night, June 26, at 10 o'clock. He had been ill 6 weeks following an attack of the flu. He was a son of J. O. Shannon, of Hiawatha. He leaves a wife, 3 daughters and 4 sons and the following brothers and sisters: Dr. L. W. Shannon, Dr. J. O. Shannon and Joe Shannon, of Hiawatha, and Herbert Shannon, of Wetmore, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ella Martin, of Lawrence, Mrs. J. V. Lacroix, of Kansas City, and Miss Nela, of Hiawatha. The funeral will be held at the home of his father, 524 South Seventh street, Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

    The funeral of Charles K. Shannon was held at the home of his father, J. O. Shannon, 524 South Seventh street Sunday afternoon at 2:30. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. V. Hubbell. The deceased leaves a wife, 3 daughters and 4 sons and the following brothers and sisters: Dr. L. W. Shannon, Dr. J. O. Shannon, and Joe Shannon, of Hiawatha, and Herbert Shannon, of Wetmore; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ella Martin, of Lawrence, Mrs. J. V. Lacroix, of Kansas City, and Miss Nela Shannon, of Hiawatha.
    He was born Sept. 23, 1866, in Robertson county, Tenn., and departed this life June 25, 1920. He made the good confession and was baptized June 1 of this year. Interment was made in the Hiawatha cemetery.
