Arthur E. Evenson, 89, died Tuesday, February 18, 1986 at his home southeast of Eureka.

The son of Alexander and Eva Mae Rush Evenson, Evenson was born April 10, 1896 in Eureka. On September 4, he married Lottie Mable Bane here.

Evenson, a lifetime resident of Greenwood County was a farmer.

Evenson was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving Evenson are his wife Lottie, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Juanita) Morgan, Hot Springs, Ark.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel Fisher, Borger, Texas, and Violet Dimick of Wichita. He was preceded in death by a son, Clifford.

The funeral service was held the afternoon of Friday, February 21, 1986 at Campbell Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Sorensen, pastor of the First Baptist Cchurch, officiated. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
