Beau was born July 28, 1958 in Baxley, Georgia, the son of Louie Jarrell and Iona (Graham) Jarrell. He attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, playing college football with the Governors. He started his professional football career in 1979 with the Jacksonville Firebirds of the American Football Association, moving to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL in 1981. In 1982 he joined the Birmingham Stallions of the WFL, finishing his football career in 1985 with the WFL Jacksonville Bulls. He was inducted into the American Football Association Hall of Fame, Canton, Ohio, in 2011. Beau was dedicated to his children, and through them found a passion for helping young athletes. He coached girls fast-pitch softball at South Lake High School in Groveland, and inspired and mentored the youth of the community. It would be difficult to find someone with a child in sports from the South Lake County area that didnt know, or know of, Beau. His true legacy comes from all the young lives he impacted as a positive role model and friend. Beau's love for his wife of 36 years, Linda Jarrell, was like no other. He was a loving, involved and dedicated father to Heather and David, and will live forever in the hearts of his grandchildren, whom he adored and spoiled. He was an amazing husband, father, Papa, coach and friend.Beau is predeceased by his father and mother, Louie and Iona Jarrell. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jarrell; his daughter, Heather Lane, and her husband, David; his son, Beau Jarrell, and his wife, Sasha; five grandchildren, Landon, Alexis, Greyson, Ashton and Kendall, along with many other extended family and friends.
