Doris was the daughter of Ludvig Alfred Ysen and Bertha Marie Hanson.

She had eight siblings: Marshall Henry, Francis Harold, Robert Lawrence, Donald Roy, Betty Marie, Bud Martin, Elmer Gerald, and a baby girl.

Doris married John Frank Schliauter on October 19, 1946.

They were the parents of four children: Shirley Ann, Diane Kay, Randy John, and Jeanne Sue.

Doris Schliauter 1925-1999

Doris M. Schliauter, 74, of McGregor, Minnesota, and formerly of Wright, died Friday, May 7, 1999, at the Riverwood Extended Care Center in Aitkin, Minnesota.
She was born May 7, 1925 in Bagley, the daughter of Ludvig and Birdie (Hanson) Ysen. She grew up and attended schools in Bagley and Orr, Minnesota, graduating from Orr High School. She worked for a short time in Duluth. She married John Schliauter in the early 1940's. They moved to Wright, Minnesota and farmed for many years. She also worked at the Eagle Lake Nursing Home and for Paul's Auto Sales, and at several restaurants in the area. She moved to McGregor in 1997. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright. She also volunteered at the Cromwell-Wright Clothing Depot and also helped in cleaning up cemeteries in the area.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley (Duane) Pomplun of Wright, Diane (Frederick) Stewart of Tamarack, Minnesota, and Jeannie (Tony Miller) Schliauter of Duluth; one son, Randy (Lola) Schliauter of Barnum; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Donald sen of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Frank Ysen of Hibbing, Minnesota, Marshall Ysen of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and one sister, Betty Peirson of Kalispell, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1989.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 13, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. Matt Saaren officiating. Burial was at Gran Cemetery in Popple Township, Clearwater County, near Bagley. Arrangements were by the McGregor Funeral Home of McGregor, Minnesota.
