Alicia Agre
May 19, 1961 ~ October 21, 2017 (age 56)

After a protracted battle with cancer, Alicia Agre (Garcia) went to Heaven on October 21 in Carmichael, CA at the age of 56. She leaves behind her son Jonathan Agre; her daughter, Tiffany Mello (Agre).

Alicia was born on May 19th, 1961 in Bronx, NY, to father Guillermo Garcia Martinez and mother Bienvanida (Serrano Lopez), who predeceased her. She grew up in a large, loving family with multiple siblings. She moved with her family to the San Diego area in the mid-seventies. In college, she excelled in the sciences, and received her certification as a CNA and later earned her degree as a LVN.

Alicia was a driven mother with fierce love for her family, a tenacious prayer warrior who attended multiple churches (wherever she could minister and feel the presence of God) always growing her family in Christ. Alicia had a secret love of jewelry making, bartering at vintage clothing stores, and designing her own large church hats. When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.

Alicia is survived by her two children, Jonathan his partner (Natasha) and Daughter Tiffany her husband (Aaron Mello), grandchildren Able Agre Flowers and Ohen Mello as well as many siblings and loving nieces and nephews.

Perhaps the only solace that the family can get is that Alicia’s painful battle is over, and she was surrounded by her loving family. She could hear her favorite hymns, and was read her favorite bible verses, and played recordings of her grandchildren’s laughter and loving messages. Alicia spent her final moments with her sister reading her favorite verse (psalms 23) Alicia looked up and saw her Angel, and was lead to Heaven.

Alicia requested to be cremated. Her ashes will be spread by the family in a few places where she shared loving laughter and good memories with her children. A reception will be held on Nov 13 at 3:30 pm, at Grace Point Seventh Day Adventist Church (3500 Sunset Blvd, Rocklin, CA 95677) The family would especially like to thank Julie S, Alicia’s hospice nurse, for her excellent work and loving care; the staff of Bristol Hospice for their constant, attentive treatment; and the Sierra View Funeral Chapel for making the arrangements.
