A native of Nauvoo, Alabama, Virginia was born on April 28, 1929. Virginia and her family moved to Bessemer, Alabama, in 1942, and she graduated from Hueytown High School in 1947.
Virginia was a faithful member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and Women on Mission at The Baptist Church at McAdory in McCalla.
Virginia is survived by her sister, Betty Inlow Blackerby; her aunts, Dorothy Ingle Fry and Sue Ingle Harper; and several cousins. She is also survived by her chosen family, Bill, Robin, Sam, and Will McCall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Teat (1925-2001); parents, Pernie Ingle (1905-1990) and Alvie Lee Inlow (1904-1971); and brother-in-law, Fred C. Blackerby.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017, at The Baptist Church at McAdory. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at the church, followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery .
