Western Recorder Newspaper (Southern Baptist)---April 28, 1848

Sarah Ann Morris, 18 years of age, died of head pleurisy on April 26, 1848. She was baptized into the fellowship of the Hillsboro Church by Elder McGuire in 1843, in which she lived until her death. She was a young lady of upright deportment and an amiable disposition. In her illness she was deprived of the society and conversation of her numerous friends who came to her, but as an evidence of glorious anticipation, even when not able to turn herself in bed, she would sing some of those hymns of Zion that are so delightful to the hearts of Christians.

She has left behind a large number of friends to mourn their loss, among whom is a dear afflicted mother who has not seen a well day for many years.
