Western Recorder Newspaper (Southern Baptist)---September 1, 1852

Mildred Morris, wife of Bro. Harrison Morris, died on August 12, 1852, in Henry County, KY, after a painful illness of near twenty years. She had been an affectionate wife for near thirty years. In 1835 she was baptized into the fellowship of the Hillsboro Church in this county, of which she remained a most devoted member while she lived, by Bro. J. A. McGuire.

She lived to see six out of seven children engage in the service of the Lord, one only a few days before her death. Two have gone before to that "better country." After a life of about 47 years it may indeed be said of her, "none knew her but to love her, or named her but to praise."
