Emil Brommer, 85, Nelson, died Sunday, May 11, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Wabasha. He had been a resident of Pepin Manor Care Center four years. He was born June 8, 1900, in Nelson to Taasten and Ragnild Olson Brommer. He married Alvina Paulson Oct 8, 1932, in Lyster Lutheran Church. She died in 1977. Survivors include two sons, Glenn and Roger, both of Nelson; eight grandchildren; a brother, Oliver of Alma, and two sisters, Hazel Nelson of Lacrosse, and Anga Lukas of Edina, Minn. A brother and two sisters have died. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) at Lyster Lutheran Church, the Rev. Jeffrey Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A prayer serice was held Wednesday in the Stohr-Hagen Funeral Home, Alma.
