Born in Butler, Nov. 1, 1960, he was the son of Charles and Mary (Umstead) Ace.
Joe graduated from East Brady High School in 1979, and attended Penn-State at New Kensington studying computer technology.
He retired due to health issues from Moniteau School District, where he was employed as a computer technician.
Mr. Ace was an active member of North Washington Volunteer Fire Department, where he served with the VFD Fire Police.
He was a self-taught mechanic and was frequently found tinkering with projects in his garage.
In addition, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joe also loved sitting on his porch watching the birds and the deer in the area. He also enjoyed making garden ornaments for his wife's flower gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Wyant) Ace, whom he married July 16, 1988; two sons, Tim "TJ" Ace Jr. of Hilliards, and Corey (Amanda) Ace of Clintonville; a daughter, Stephanie (Ben) Ace of Hilliards; five grandchildren, Kara, C.J., Colton, Neah and Jaxson Ace; three sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews survive. Joe is also survived by his parents-in-law, Mary and Bill Wyant of Annisville, Butler County.
Only his parents preceded him in death.
