She was a nurse for Home Hospital in Lafayette and also in New Castle before her retirement. She was also a homemaker. She was a 1942 graduate of Charlottesville High School and a 1946 graduate of Methodist Hospital's School of Nursing. She was a member of Rockville Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Heifner, whom she married Oct. 5, 1946; son Ralph Heifner of Indianapolis; daughters Jane Jeffries of Lebanon, Marilyn McDonough of Angola, and Donna Patch of Rockville; sisters Mary Elizabeth Carmichael of Greenfield and Ruth Long of Pompano Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 Howard St. in Rockville, with the Rev. Lynn D. Coleman officiating. Committal services and burial will e at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday at the funeral home.
