The funeral of the late John Simons took place from his late residence on West North street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Colored Graveyard. Rev J J Evans officiated at the services. Cumberland Brotherhood No 1527, GUOOF, of which the deceased was a member, turned out. The pall-bearers, six members of the Brotherhood, were Andrew Beals, Calvin Abel, Henry Smith, Charles Baltimore, JR Richardson and William Jackson.
