Glynn M. Felkins, 77, of Kimball, died at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff on Friday, October 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Father Sagar officiating. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friends may also visit www.cantrellfh.com to view Glynn’s Tribute Wall and leave condolences for the family. Memorials have been established to either the Andy Shaw Memorial Fund or the Plains Historical Society. The services for Glynn have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Glynn Martin Felkins was born in Skiatook, Oklahoma on July 13, 1940, the son of Henry and Annis (Clinkenbeard) Felkins. He moved with his family to Elizabeth, Colorado where he received his education and graduated from the Elizabeth High School in 1958. Glynn served his country in the US Airforce from 1958 to 1962. On October 12, 1963 he was married to Mary Ann Connelly in Denver, Colorado. Glynn worked for Martin Marietta, then worked in the trucking industry for a few years, moving to Meeker, Colorado. In 1966 he moved back to Commerce City to work in the construction industry. He joined the South Adams County Volunteer Fire Department in 1969 and served as a lieutenant, then captain, and the retired after 22 years. They moved to Kimball in 2002 and Glynn continued working in construction. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV, and he was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan. He loved playing poker with his card group and was an active member of the Plains Historical Society where he served as President.

Survivors include his wife Ann Felkins of Kimball, NE; children Karmen Koger of Thornton, CO., Shawn (Cherry) Felkins of Martin, SD., and Dan (Lisa) Felkins of Byers, CO; sisters Esther Wlaker of Castle Rock, CO., Evelyn Foster of Kimball, NE., Lola Huston of Elizabeth, CO., Angela Refoir of Baker City, OR., Thelma Cole of Commerce City, Co., and Martha (Jim) Link of Russellville, AK; grandchildren Keri (Darren) Hull, Kelsey (Pat) Lowney, Arika Felkins, Richard Felkins and Raelynn Felkins; great grandchildren Kaelynn Hull and Taron Lowney. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Annabelle and Nova and brothers Floyd, Jim, Bill and Verlis
