Laura Harris of McGill died Friday, May 7, 2004, at the White Pine Care Center in Ely. She was 92.
Mrs. Harris was born March 30, 1912, in Centerfield, Utah, to Joseph Henry and Josephine Higham Myrup.
She had lived in this area for the past 88 years, working at Troy Laundry in Ely in the 1950s and the McGill Drug Store during the '60s.
Her pastimes included reading and visiting with her friends and family.
Mrs. Harris is survived by a daughter, Audrey (Marvin) Paff of McGill; four grandchildren: Jeff Paff, Wade Paff, Layne Harris and Sherry Lee Harris; 11 great grandchildren; and eight great, great grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Bernice Crowe of Battle Mountain.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Harris; a brother, Al Myrup; and four sisters: Oneida Hall, Gerda Hendrickson, Mabel Myrup and Josephine Williamson.
Visitation was scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at Mountain Vista Chapel in Ely. Graveside services were scheduled to follow at 1 p.m. in the Ely City Cemetery with Bishop Don Gregersen officiating.
