She was born Jan. 29, 1923, in Sandcut, to Frank Bemis and Margaret Bemis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward E. Meneely; and twin daughters, Marilyn L. Brown and Carolyn S. Hill.
She loved the Lord and went to church until she was unable to go. She read God's word daily and prayed for many. She enjoyed making quilts and doing embroidery work and giving them as gifts.
Deloris is survived by six grandchildren, Rick Hill, Tony Hill, Alan Hill, and wife Shauni, Fred Brown, Sherry Brown and Tim Brown; six great-grandchildren, Josh Brown, Zach Brown, Ricky Hill, Nicole Hill, Chris Hill and Kim Hill; two great-great-grandchildren, Mya Kearchner and Roselyn Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters.
It was Deloris's wish, that there be no services. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tupelo Children's Mansion, P.O. Box 167. Tupelo, MS 38802, or a charity of choice. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th St., Terre Haute.
